Local Tennis News:

> Spring is in the air! and Easter is nearly upon us: which means another edition of Strictly Come Junior's Tennis Camp. As in poster below:

> A Special Mention To Our French-Origin Tennis Players: We discovered that there are ten male tennis players in the ATP Top-100 ranked tennis players, this indeed a feat of achievenment.

From the complete list above as of end-Feb 2024, there are couple who are 37+ years old in age - tell us who perhaps.

Comparably I would imagine fewer British male  players making that cut - I would gues one handful! - to be confirmed. This mention is not to denigrate one country over another, but rather indicate the seriousness and depth of tennis playing enthusiasm of a neighbour country, that boasts 10 top-100 male / female player.

LineBall Tennis - Clapham Common: A Poster Design

> LineBall principal Krishna has been engaging in local "political" battles with Lambeth Council, the managers of Clapham Common tennis courts, about competitor tennis-coach Julian Cousins, and his sprawling monopoly "big tennis" on public /  municipal tennis courts.

While LBT's Council engagment has been 10+ years since intial license issuance to head-pro of LineBall; the most recent  missives has been about "rogue tennis coaches" i.e. court-users not licensed by the Council tennis-coach license scheme. So Mr Cousin's employed ALL THE OTHER COACHES enveloping the 8 tennis courts of the Common Westside. Then these hirling are passed Cousin's excess cheaper clients initially, and then they branch-off on their own too, and crowd out the LATEST + LAST full licensee at said venue - rival "coach Krishna". Who categorically refuses to play ball with Mr Rip M Orf network! Worse still, other local-district residents and community tennis players have little access to book courts, especially peak-times; as tennis-courts are ursurped by these commercial minions of expansion. LBT will not expose these rogue-coaches yet - though "Fagin" has been identified! If you are a local using or accessing unauthorised coaches, there is a possibility of losing court-booking privileges. As for rogue coaches, the Council stated enforcement will come into effect. Not soon enough!

> LineBall Tennis based at Clapham Common Westside, through principal tennis coach Krishna, are in development of NEW website, enabling online booking and payment. The interim site uses the British governing authority for tennis, the Lawn Tennis Association's ClubSpark system. To use ClubSpark, user needs to register there, unless you have an LTA registration (which one might have if they registered for Wimbledon ticket ballots or onetime member of a UK tennis club etc). Here's a sneak preview:

Do we like the design? Hmm! and the related business card was field-tested, its "sick!" was one modern jargon retort (that canvass was at the local Eagle pub). [KS 10-Dec]
