Novak Djokovic Knows Vaccine Passport Is More Than Tennis

Updated 12-Jan-2022: Stop Press! Unstated in mainstream news (msm) media and even underplayed by Novack Djokovic press releases is that fact that THIS YEAR 2022 is potentially the best chance of capturing the elusive calendar grand slam of the four "majors" tennis tournaments: Australian, French, Wimbledon and US Open. Having missed the feat in 2021 by one final match in New York at the US Open. This is year is make or break on that dream ,since he has brokend most tennis-playing records already. By losing that championship grandslam match to Daniil Medvedev in August 2021, he preserved Australia's living-legend legacy of the only man in open-era professional tennis to win all four majors in one year. That legend is Rod Laver winning the grandslam in 1969.

So we at Lineball Tennis - Clapham Common, reading between the lines says that politics is now interferring with sports and Novak's ambitions and tennis legacy to become a GOAT - Great Of All Time.

Some will say Novack has been a political influencer being one of only 3 male tennis players in the top100 NOT to be vaccinated;          according to statement by the mens-tennis governing body Association of Tennis Players - ATP.

At time of writing the Australian Government's immigration minister Alex Hawke is said to be considering whether to rescind Monday's judiciary re-reinvoked valid visa. We don't believe this high-profile issue of vaccine-passport and sporting-legacy can be kicked into the long-grass of public's fading memory.

Should or will Novack play in the Australian Open starting 17th January considering all the circumstances? Not least because if he plays he keeps the grandslam dream alive while potentially scuppering Australia's 1969 legacy to tennis.

Watch this space.

World tennis is not SO stunned! as much as the purveyors of the covid19 narrative, about Novak Djokovic's detention at an immigration centre in Australia in January New Year 2022.

Novak by Twitter credit @KatMadr1d

The fact that a close Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) tennis player, and current men's world number 1, was refused entry to Australia for being unvaccinated against covid19, and then being told his medical-exemption is not valid, has huge ramifications going forward.

The first and foremost ramification we at LineBall Tennis assert is the biosecurity-passport creep. Novak, a Serbian national, being held-up in an immigration detention centre - NOT BECAUSE OF NATIONALITY, while awaiting some nature of appeal for entry-visa into Australia.

Ths is extreme high-profile publicity on the question of vaccine-mandate. The appeal decision is to come tomorrow, 10th January Monday. LineBall Tennis as sideline activists who are also indignant about Julian Assange imprisonment, as a beacon of journalism fit for 21st century.

A debate and protest about public compulsion to take vaccine, which has been raging like a wildfire, at least visibly on Twitter social-media; if not on main-stream-media (msm) news channels. Which are dissembling in concert singularly coercing the public to be vaccinated; and now even to get "boosted" against other variants of SARS-COV-2.

In comes Novak to join the debate. Unreservedly not via a forum or mass debating society, but by practical action of getting on an aeroplane bound for Australia to defend his Australian Open tennis-champion title, and point to maintain world number one status (without vaccination presumably or proving he was covid-negative). His use of medical exemption somewhat implies Novak is unvaccinated perhaps - but that's wholly his business. Now do you see our concern about rollout of biosecurity statecraft.

His body his choice about being vaccinated is the principle in law and medicine that has been tested many times in history, without sucess from authorities, and maintaining individual bodily freedom. The principle never became "my body, their choice"! But this pandemic is insidiously dangerous - not the disease as much the cure process prescribed. If you would like to read about this ultimate liberty when all other freedoms are being dismantled, here are 4 url links:

Jacobsen v. Massachussetts.

Forced Vaccination: The Tragic Legacy of Jacobson v Massachusetts by Barbara Loe Fisher

Jacobson v Massachusetts is “one of the most important pieces of public health jurisprudence”

Back to Novak's case away from the principle-cases in law. Not one to be perturbed by immense challenges - or you don't nearly win the calendar-year grand-slam. As Novak nearly did in 2021 - hence close-GOAT! (excepting for a pesky Russian who defeated in the final match of the last grandslam of year at the US Open). Only one other tennis player in the professional era has achieved the calendar-year grand slam feat in 1969, the great living-legend that is Rod Laver.

The Novak-challenge here was to see if there are loopholes for a world number one tennis player, as there are for billionnaire tax-evaders. Because lets face it the whol pandemic, restrictions and rules have had more holes than a Swiss cheese. And as we know from this article here, Novak is not shy of courting controversy or playing devil's advocate.

Novak's medical exemption was that he had had covid19 in the last 6 months, and was therefore sufficiently naturally immunised and healthy to play in a major international elite tennis tournament.  But as we know first-hand, the would-be authorities of covid19 science and rule-makers in politics couldn't make rules straight forward for an ambiguous pandemic - which some hailed as "scamdemic".

So tomorrow, even if Australia border-control gives Novak permission to enter the country, i.e. accepting his medical exemption, and allows him to compete in the Australian Tennis championships: LineBall Tennis believes he should politelly decline or give an Agincourt salute two-fingers!, as there is more than tennis-championships at stake. And there will be other grand-slam tournaments to win. Unconfirmed reports on Twitter already suggests Roland Garros, the French grand-slam will accept competitors unvaccinated.

As a current empyrean ambassador for our sport, LineBall Tennis unequivicolly support Novak. Using Twitter hashtag #WeStandWithNovak or #WeStandWithDjokovic, we are also distrustful of institutions and authority, which has no wholesome philosophical view, but rather a single oft-repeated message about vaccination mandate. Which we know is tenet of propaganda.

With that message of freedom not fear, we at LineBall Tennis - Clapham Common, including Krishna, James and Mila would like to wish our tennis patrons - you know who you are! - a very happy new year for 2022, and leave you this quote from John Stuart Mill 1806-1973:

Bowling Green Pavilion - UPDATE on Planning Re-Designation by Wandsworth Council

A brief update as of 2-March-2021, while still in lockdown three. Indeed Wandsworth Council's Planning Application Committe earned the community-activism a reprieve from the crazy-golf developers. This is from newsletter of a respected Wandsworth Councillor Tony Belton on the PAC:

Of course the dragged-in-mud reputation of "Putt-In-The-Park" enterprise does not interefere with their entrepreneurial avarice, and have subsequently appealled the decision to Wandsworth and the central planning inspectorate.

The many in the local community are pushing-back against such crazy-golf development in preferring Common land stay in Common community hands. The arguments for preservation are many. Ranging from plastic-pollution to loss-of-sporting amenity of the development proposal. Yet conservatorship of Clapham Common falling on Lambeth Council hands, offer the argument: that they cannot maintain bowling-greens sustainably due to financial-budget pressures. Not the bean-counters fault, but perennial mismanagement by Lambeth Council is my personal observation.

So we have one final re-course to figh-the-power.

The deadline for submitting objections is March 8th quoting reference no. COM/3268390 and they go to :- commonlandcasework@planninginspectorate.gov.uk

Dear Sir/Madam...

First you should say briefly where you live, if you are local, and that you don't approve of the project.

You should give some of the arguments against it. Please feel free to use the ones we've listed below. (See Cllr. Belton planning-clarified argument above)

Finish by urging the Inspectorate to refuse the application.

Yours faithfully,

Clapham Common Bowling Green in in Aug'17

I hope residents living around the Clapham Common green space, will object strongly, or indeed otherwise, to the re-designation of the Bowling Green Pavilion: "Change of use from D2 Pavilion to A3 - Restaurants and cafes". I and a few other reidents expressed concern in April 2019 when I posted original note Clapham Common Westside Bowling Green Closure.

My objection to the whole idea of crazy-golf articulated as “Putting In The Park” is simple. I for one really do not want a part the common land belonging to generations of past and present taxpayers hived-off / leased to private enterprise to run and manage for profit, or even for non-profit impetus. It simple because its says so on the tin; its in the name of our park “Clapham Common”. “Common” land for us, the locals and residents.

From that over-arching principle – we do still have them in this fair but firm land – many arguments for and against re-designation from bowling-green facility to crazy-golf can and has been made surely. From a political perspective, Lambeth Council have conceded they do not have the financial budget to manage and operate lawn-bowling outdoors without loss of income (instead its offering one indoor carpet bowling in Brixton). Lambeth officialdom of Councillors and managers have also got rid off lawn bowling greens in nearby Brockwell Park. Yet Tory / Conservative managed council Wandsworth, through outsourced “Enable” maintain lawn-bowling facilities at two of its centres on Wandsworth Common and St Georges Park, I believe.

So the falacious argument that bowling is in poor demand by gentle Wandsworth residents is NOT the over-riding reason, but that Lambeth maintained the bowling green in poor state i.e. did not resurface the lawn but paid one groundsman “Steve” c.£30k annually for its up-keep, toiling against the odds. Therefore serious bowling-enthusiasts did not use Clapham Common bowling, only occasional young revellers with their beer-bottles in hand used facility. That the moribund state Lambeth managed the facility towards. The rationale for bowling-green re-designation should not be Lambeth management incompetency. And its adjunct implication of wasted taxpayer funds.

(Towards joined-up-thinking it should be here noted that Lambeth Council taxpayers have allocated £210,000 to re-surface a large chunk of the Northside of the Common in preparation for commercial “events”, with tougher grass (less conducieve to fauna) and better drainage – when two bowling greens couldn’t be re-surfaced and operated. Labour-controlled Lambeth Council would seem to have Tory aspirations towards capitalism too!)

That was only eloaborating on the political perspective allied to Council finances which would seem to dictate this change of use from its original intended purpose. “Conservatism” seems dead from local political-powers, that of conserving benefit for the future residents and taxpayers.

Other Principal Considerations:
1. Covid19 / pandemic has highlighted necessity of PRESERVING public open-spaces sports like bowling
2. Wandsworth residents will be SUBSIDIZING Lambeth taxpayers
3. Change to a restaurant from sports-purpose usually accomodates an ALCOHOL license
4. Idyllic corner of Clapham Common Westside will become SUPER-CHARGED in nature
5. Astro-turf crazy-golf features is insulting to GREEN-ENVIRONMENT trends

Clapham Common Tennis: Special Covid19 Report

We at Lineball Tennis, primarily coach Krishna and perennial past potential clients, based at Clapham Common tennis courts entered covid19 lockdown from 23 March, and came out to play on the tennis courts on 14th May 2020.

Everyone will have stories of the time that passed between those dates as "interesting", to say the least! Even in the "new normal" there is an air of hope expectancy filled with anxiety. And rightly so! Full tennis lockdown ended officialy in London and nationwide, as announced in the daily briefings from Downing Street, on Monday of the week, that tennis would again be permitted with "social-distancing" covid19 restrictions on Wednesday 13th May 2020.

Whether Lambeth Council and outsource GLL (Greenwich Leisure Limited) organisations, responsible for the Clapham Common tennis facility (near the now defunct bowling-greens), are superstitious, bureacratic or simply late, LineBall principal Krishna kicked-off tennis one day later than at his private nearby tennis club Grafton LTC. Where he played his old neigbourhood friend on synthetic clay surface, on lucky for some day 13th of May.

Talking of "old neighbour" we have  the familiar former speaker of the House of Parliament John Bercow visiting Clapham Common tennis facility. He plays tennis with his son in the early morning, "2/3 times a week" as he suggested. How pleasant and lively the fellow in person, as he was as controversial personnae and charisma in his function as leader of Parliament's proceedings by Members of Parliament - MPs. Mr Bercow has been spotted as local "celebrity" by others too. Next time LineBall Tennis might offer coaching services to JB!

Mentioning politics, your local tennis coach and long-time resident Krishna is involved in struggle to book rare tennis-court slots at the venue. The mentioned GLL online-booking he is subjected to is unwieldy to the flexible needs of the excessive number of tennis coaches at Clapham Common Westside. Under tennis-coach licensing guidelines brought in by Lambeth Council, Krishna was registered as "the last tennis coach" by the then Council officer Trevor East. Yet there are newer coaches since him operating on premises all the time! This is report-worthy, as Krishna cannot book the court, hours or times for his perennial customers needs currently. Explained by the Council's management on enquiry: since GLL phone-booking staff furloughed, only online booking system available (more on this dysfunctional system). Maybe you had similar online tennis-court booking difficulties? (Thus far unexplained, is how Julian Cousin's is continuing to block-book his courts 4 and 5, for his business practice. We will ask ask Council for what obligation they have to him).

On other tennis-client news during pandemic times we have Cyprien emerging as self-proclaimed "God" by outpacing his tennis-grouping adversaries in matchplay. In one-to-one matchplay of points while rotating with adversaries he displayed winning confidence. The other compatriots Oscar, Augustine and Cameron challenging Cyprien seem over-awed by his vivid exhuberance! Cyprien, however has been playing weekly with his friends then brothers for over five years, and sometimes daily for tennis-camps with LineBall Tennis.

Also, noteworthy is the emergence of another two junior tennis stars who initially started playing in a private group with LineBall Tennis when only 4/5 years olds, Maxime and Vasu. They are now 7/8 YOs. They played a  doubles match on opposing sides in the mini-court (the 4 service boxes) on Monday 15th June. Maxime playing with new "wild-talent lefty" Raphael. And Vasu playing with also new LBT player, the all-round talent Gabriel. The encounter was significant as they all engaged totally in the competition. Demonstrated by nerves showing on tentativeness of shots from experienced Maxime and Vasu. The cool-head player was Gabriel. This competition then extended to full-court as the juniors wished. Of little significance at this stage, was the result, which was won by Vasu and Gabriel.

The Wait Is Over - But Not For Brexit!

Alexander "Sascha" Zverev has broken into the elite crop of tennis players, from the emerging Next Generation of stars. Like the rest of the tennis world, LineBall Tennis have been waiting anticipating the "nextgen" star to make his break-through, in the men's game. We categorically believe the wait is over.
Alexander "Sascha" Zverev Winning the ATP Tour Finals on 18-Nov-18: "A Star isBorn"
"Sascha" is often shortend for Alexander in Russian, is still only age 21 and has made his emphatic emergence: by convincingly winning the end-of-year shoot-out of the year's top eight players at Nitto ATP Finals, in the O2 Arena in London. The emergence is clear from a number of standpoints, other than simply that he defeated the world number 3 and number 1 back-to-back in the semi-final and then the final, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic respectively, in London.

Sascha on Sunday topped-off a progressive year winning the biggest career title to date, and the yougest to win the year-end finale. After that win, there is also the matter that he has finished the year ranking number four in the world for the second consecutive year. Another factor is Sascha's his top-echelon status was rubber-stamped by his idea to hire Ivan Lendl as his coach in August of this year. Another great hall mark of his bust-though emergence is the batch of nextgen players he left in his wake: Thiem, Tsitsipas, Fognini, Khachanov, Medvedev, Dimitrov, Dolgopolov, etc.

LineBall Tennis's principal tennis coach Krishna draws a comparison with a precocious 17-year old who also announced his arrival on the big-stage of tennis, by winning the most prestigious of tennis grand slam titles, Wimbledon. Of course Boris Becker, who is German, same as Sascha's birthplace and Hamburg-upbringing, though of Russian descendency; and a 6-time tennis grand slam champion made that first giant-leap. Some tennis pundits and experts have often debated about the attainment of maturity of players from various parts of the globe. Germans arguably mature faster given the other factors to producing a top national player. Krishna, like his personal idol Boris Becker (see picture below), is excited about Sascha as the future cynosure of tennis.

LineBall Tennis's Krishna with Boris Becker at Fashion Week
Andrew Castle, former British number one tennis player, and these days a TV and LBC-radio broascaster including  tennis commentry at Wimbledon and ATP Finals, also had some comparative insight. Andrew remarked to Krishna, while passing by the Clapham Common public tennis facility where LineBall Tennis operates, that similar to Boris, Sascha is "more arrogant". We all know Boris was "arrogant" or at least in his outward strut and ostentation; interpreted for tennis as confidant, self-assured and with strong mental fortitude. Andrew, having much speculated about "NextGen" players coming of age and a natural and much-anticipated changing of the guard, also remarked "we need the change" in men's top tennis.

Another remarkable aspect of the ATP Finals final versus Roger Federer was an incident where a point-in-play was interrupted at the request of Zverev, towards the crucial end of the second set, Zverev having one the first (oddly only one one match went to three sets the entire week-long finals). The incident resulted in booing and jeers by sections of the crowd at the O2 final. At courtside during winner's prize-giving conversation with commentator Annabel Croft, a former British women's number one player, crowd started prolonged booing. Zvevrev showed his humility by recognising and apologising for halting the play. He explained to the crowd that a ball-boy at the back had dropped the ball, and it had rolled on to the court with the ball-boy rushing onto court to retrieve it; which presumably distracted Zverev attention away from the ball, and subsequently he halted the point. Which is irrefutably in the ATP rules, as Annabel clearly politely asserted to the non-tennis fans in the crowd. Indeed TV-video evidence does show that to be the case.   Even during the enquiry to the circuit-umpire Carlos Ramos for the reason to halt-play, Federer asked the offending ball-boy. The ball-boy is seen nodding. Zverev as the winner was also seen apologising at the net to the vanquished Federer as they shook hands at the end of their match.

Holidays in Maldives was commented as the place of destination in the off-season that Sascha Zverev and friends embark to. He had done so in 2017 as well. LineBall Tennis wish him an enjoyable rest and recuperation, and thank the tennis Gods that the long-wait for a new star is finally over. Yet the wait for United Kingdom to leave the globalist-agenda of the European Union, known as'Brexit', is still prolonging its delivery since June 2016 vote by the British people to leave union of European countries. One doese not expect democracy to be more tenuous than finding a tennis star, as LineBall's activists Twitter comments attest (Picture below).
